A podcast celebrating the different ways to make a family.

Co-creator and Producer

We all have a default idea of what a family “should” look like: a couple and maybe some kids, all living in one home together. But most Americans don’t live in a family like that anymore!

That’s why Julia Winston and I started Refamulating, a podcast that celebrates all the ways to make a family. Each episode shares the story of how one non-nuclear family came to be. Stories we’ve published include egg donor and sperm donors, being child-free, and a transgender man trying to get pregnant after transitioning.

We also write about the changing American family on our newsletter and through our virtual events.
